High Hopes Challenge #64

Wow, life's been busy with no time to post this past week so I will make up for it by posting 2 for this week's challenge at High Hopes which calls us to add texture to our cards. This first card is for a special little girl named Delia Cadwallader from Colorado, USA who is battling leukemia. You can read about her here. Dustin Pike graciously offered some downloadable digi's for us to use and created 3 cute owl images as his part in helping cheer up Delia.

Here's my card...

And the inside...

I used Glossy Accents to add some texture to the paintbrush and palette giving each a wet look. I coloured the image with alcohol markers (Copic, Prismacolor & Touch). The brads are from Doodlebug, the flower is from Prima and the silver flower spacer is from my stash. I used Neenah Paper to stamp my image on with Memento--Tuxedo Black Ink. Patterned Papers are from my stash.

My next card is for my daughter's school's spring fundraiser. I usually do up about 20-25 cards for this fundraiser and this card is #8! I have a ways to go....

I added some white flocking to the bunny's tail for texture--sorry it's kind of hard to see.

I used Bunny Blooms from High Hopes and coloured it using Prismacolor Pencils & odorless mineral spirits. The DP is from Doodlebug, ribbon from Michael's and spacer and gem are from my stash. I used Bazzil papers from my cardstock, Neenah paper to stamp on with Memento--Tuxedo Black Ink.

Thanks for coming by to take a look--have a great weekend!!

For all you hockey fans out there--Canada takes on the US tomorrow in Men's Hockey for the GOLD at the Olympics--hopefully we can make it a double Gold!! The US has an awesome team, especially their goalie, so it should be pretty exciting to watch!!

GO CANADA GO!!

Blessings,

Sarah :)
