High Hopes Challenge #62

Howdy folks!! This week over at High Hopes my friend and source of much inspiration, Karen has challenged us to use wire or some form of metal embellishement on our cards. I have been waiting a long time to use a particular stamp and this week it made it's debut with this challenge. When I first saw this guy I laughed right out loud in the store--incidently he also has a mirror-image backside stamp that goes with this one which is just about as flattering. Now, women, they have accessories so I thought "George" (at least that's what I call him) should have some accessories too--the canteen, compass and binos are all High Hopes stamps as well as the sentiments.

Inside sentiment...

Recipe:
  • Stamps--"George" (not sure what the real stamp name is)--Art Impressions (bought him @ Mary Maxim--Port Huron, MI) & High Hopes Stamps
  • DP--g.c.d.--Retrophide
  • Cardstock--Bazzil Papers
  • Stamped on Prism Simply Smooth with Memento--Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Metal Brads--Stash
  • Media--Copics--YG95, Y11, W-3,E33, E35, E50 & used a Prismacolor Pencil with mineral spirits to do the shading around George
  • Colorbox--Fluid Chalk--Chestnut Roan to chalk edges
I plan to give this card to my brother Mark for his 45th birthday this weekend--he's definetly a man that will appreciate George's co-ordinating gear!! Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!!

Blessings,
Sarah
