Here's my card...
A closer look at the art...
And a side view...
My Layers: Cats, flowers, fluid chalk, & cardstock
Easel cards are so easy to make...if you haven't ever attempted one there's a great tutorial over at Splitcoast to follow --> click here. It will give you an idea at least, of how to put one together. The dimensions I used for my card were my own because I wanted a bigger sized card (I used a 6X12 & a 6x6 piece of paper for the base pieces & then just eyeballed the rest of the layers).
If you head on over to the Sundays with Crissy Challenge Blog you will be able to see what my other talented design team sisters have cooked up for this challenge. If you would like to take part in this challenge just follow the simple rules laid out at the bottom of our blog and upload your masterpiece so we can see it too!! You could win some pretty cool candy!!
For those of you not familiar with our blog or with the very talented Crissy Armstrong, you can find Crissy's digital stamps in three GREAT places!!!
Creating with digital stamps is easy--you can resize them to your liking, flip them and reuse them over and over. The only space they take up is hard drive space and if your craft area is anything like mine this is a good thing!! ☺
I have also entered my card in the Papertake Weekly Challenge--"Say It With Flowers".
Anyway, that's it for me today!! For us Canucks, this weekend is a holiday weekend due to Victoria Day on Monday!!
Hopefully Mr. Sun will cooperate and give us some rays!! Hope it's sunny where you are!!
Have a blessed day!!Sarah ☺

Hi Sarah! What a fantastic easel card design! No, you are not the last person in blogland to try one, as I haven't yet either! I am too lazy or too chicken or both! lol I get intimidated by any more than one fold on a card! JK ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt just dawned on me that the cats themselves are layered up in their pile, lol!
I love your quote on the card too, it suits the pic and makes it quite comical!
Thanks for the smiles today! xo
Just adorable Sarah! The sentiment is sooo perfect!
ReplyDeleteI haven't done an easel card yet either Sarah and for the same reasons as Crissy - lol. Love yours and all the beautiful DP. Your colouring of this cute image is wonderful. Have a great weekend. Hugs, Maria
